I am the principal and founder of the Adams Law Group LLC but I’m mostly done practicing law as I detailed in a different post. My law practice consisted of representing individual Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 debtors in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. I’ve also had the privilege of representing foreclosure defendants in state courts across New York, including the counties of New York, Kings, Queens, Bronx, Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Putnam, Orange, and Rensselaer. Details of my professional practice and qualifications can be found at www.adamslawgroup.com for anyone strangely interested.

My freshman year in college was at the University of Southern California. I transferred to New York University, from where I graduated with some minor honors while majoring in Political Science and Sociology. My first year of law school was at the University of Oregon School of Law. I transferred to Brooklyn Law School, where I was on Law Review in a minor capacity and earned some some other minor distinctions. After graduating law school, I worked in publishing for a year while passed the New York State Bar. I was also, around that time, admitted to the Columbia PhD program for American Political Science. I completed the program, passed my comprehensive exams, and received the M.Phil degree. I embarked upon the dissertation-writing process but could not continue because some crazy stuff happened in the Department that I don’t want to write about because it was scandalous at the time and it is very personal to the people who were involved (none of them being me, for once). I will gladly tell you in person and maybe even over the phone. Anyway, I enjoyed Columbia, and the opportunity to study with folks like Ira Katznelson, Chuck Cameron and others. I may complete a dissertation somewhere, at some point. For right now, however, I’m perfectly happy being ABD. It goes really nicely with my ADD.
